SALAD DAYS- Ms. Pandora Black

Tyshea sent me a note asking if she could officially adopt Pandora for usage on Salad Days. To help her out, i dropped everything else i was working on and finished my update on her appearance and bio.

Nicknames: Pandy (call her Dora and you DIE )

Race: Black Cat (unlucky father/lucky mother)

Ethnicity:American/British (father is caucasian in his human form, mother is light skinned black)

Occupation: Philosophy Teacher

Relatives: Father and mother (Murphy and Tuesday Black) recently moved back to London, England.

Orientation: Heterosexual

Significant body marks and traits(s): Is a manx (tailless cat) and has a light, well spoken British accent

Crush/Steady: absolutely ga-ga over Lucifer

Likes: Lucifer, her friends/family, messing with peoples heads, seafood (mostly sushi)

Dislikes: the fact Lucifer and his brothers are fighting,laser pointers, losing control of her bad luck powers, when her students/ loved ones are hurt, the coach of the cheerleading squad {????}, being called Dora, and Bubble and Squeak (a British dish of fried cabbages and potatoes)

Hobbies: reading, lighthearted pranks, movies, yoga, birdwatching (which doesn't always go well ^_^; )

Info: Pandora Black is the most mischievous of all the female members of the Wormwood High faculty. Armed with a sharp mind and an even sharper tongue, she never misses a beat when it comes to dealing out smart/sarcastic remarks and loves to goof around with her constant partner in crime, Art Tenbrook the art teacher.

When it comes to her job Pandora prefers her students to address her first name and has more of a big sister relationship with them. She knows all the tricks in the book when it comes to classroom high-jinks, so she can very easily sense when a student is passing a note or trying to pull a prank even when her back is turned and appears to be distracted with something. Her playful personality and willingness to lend a helping hand or sympathetic ear to others has earned her a great deal of respect among her students, but that does not make her one to spare the rod and spoil the child. Whenever her students are being too lazy for their own good and aren't living up to their own potential she takes on a tenacious drill sergeant persona and whips them back into shape (she once made a collective group of kids from her class run several hundred laps around the school grounds for flunking their first semester exam) XD


She'll sometime apply similar methods with her friends on the school faculty. Pandora gets a kick out of tormenting her new assistant teacher, Athena Opovlov the sphinx. Aside from saddling Athena with all her paperwork, Pandora especially likes teasing Athena and her fellow assistant teacher Akane Mizushima about their crush on Tim Tenbrook, often doing so by saying in a sing-song voice "I know a secret-", grinning devilishly whenever Tim is in the same room as them, and pretending to try and tell Tim that 'someone' likes him. She'd never actually tell him, tho.
Even though she does take enjoyment out of teasing the poor sphinx, Pandora mostly does it as a means of trying to help build Athena's confidence and to try and provoke her into standing up for herself more often.

For as long as she can remember, Lucifer has been the apple of Pandora's eye. She doesn't hesitate to show her affection towards him and loves to pounce on him (in either cat or human form). He's even one of the very few people who can reign her in and make her behave herself......well, most of the time anyway. Never the less, she loves him very dearly and tries her best to close the gap that formed between him and his brothers.


Quirk(s)/Habit(s)/misc.:
· Secretly fears that her bad luck powers played a factor in causing the fight with Lucifer and his family, resulting in him becoming the devil. Art, Akane, and Lucifer's youngest brother Mike are the only ones she's confessed this to.

· Like any cat, Pandora simply can't help but pounce at the red dot made by a laser pointer, no matter how hard she tries to repress the urge. She therefore has a strict policy against anyone having them in her classroom.
(she also has a ball of yarn on her desk that she likes to toss around either to herself or with others to help herself relax)

·The very first time Akane got seriously drunk Pandora initially thought it was funny. Her opinion immediately changed when Akane came very close to blabbing her secret (see quirk/habits number 1). This causes Pandora to completely spaz out and start saying/doing things that are outrageous (yes, outrageous even for Pandora) to draw attention away from Akane whenever she fails to keep the shojo from becoming tipsy.

· Loves to change into her cat form and to be cuddled/patted/carried by her friends on the faculty. She even does this for several of her students as a manner of "petting a fluffy animal" therapy.

· Wears the bell on her neck to let people know she's coming and won't accidentally have their path crossed by her

· There have been a few incidences where she causes someone good luck instead of bad luck. (since she's half lucky on her mother's side and black cats are considered good luck in some countries, it's bound to happen at least every once in a while)
